3MT is the only purpose-built boutique theatre in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Working closely with our associate artists and touring productions, you’ll find everything from poetry and acoustic nights to new comedy and emerging theatre. Our ethos is the encouragement of originality and creativity providing opportunities for local people to nurture and progress.
Oldham Coliseum is a producing theatre. The company produces eight shows a year on its main stage, offering a balanced programme of drama, comedy, musical, new writing and the annual pantomime. In addition to in-house produced work on the main stage the theatre also takes in 4 weeks of touring theatre as well as around 15 non-theatre performances including music dance and stand up. Coliseum@ an offshoot to the theatre’s building based productions promotes a programme of theatre at three community venues.
somewhereto_ is a movement to liberate underused, disused and empty spaces in the UK and get everyone thinking creatively about their communities. We've helped thousands of young people find somewhereto_ do the things they love and unlocked over 300,000 square feet of space. And that's not counting the space we've helped young people claim in the digital world.
Run by Livity, in media partnership with Channel 4 Education, somewhereto_ is funded by Legacy Trust UK, creating a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent to inspire creativity across the UK.
Proper Job Theatre Company was established in 1985. The company has a history of profound engagement creating exciting projects using theatre to inspire change.
We are the only company in the UK that uses Meyerhold’s Theatrical Biomechanics. The ensemble of actors is a highly trained group that creates work which is risky and imaginative. Above all, our style is theatrical and what we do is accessible, passionate, and emotionally engages with our audiences.
In creating and performing our work, we intend to allow stories, views and opinions to be aired to allow people to make up their own minds about a subject or situation. In this sense, we have identified a close alignment with the aims of Relate, the counselling organisation. To find out more about their services, visit Relate.
